Dear Mr Barr,
Thank you very much for helping me to achieve a grade “A” in m GCE ICT! To attain this grade I had to work really hard throughout the two years you have taught me. I always planned ahead when we were doing coursework, and I managed my time really well and that really helped me to achieve such a grade. I drew up my own revision timetable for the exams in January and June, and they helped me to prepare well for the exams to ensure I performed as best I could in each paper. The excellent performance in each test all added up and resulted in the grade ‘A’ I achieved. During the times when I was falling behind in my coursework, I always stayed in after school to use the high-quality facilities available to me and I worked on my coursework, and in the end I got all my coursework handed in on time and I got the highest mark in the class for my coursework. This year, I really settled down in comparison to last year, and this really helped me to improve on my AS level results. I gave my full attention during class and I always did what I was asked to do, and this is why I believe I have achieved a grade A in my GCE ICT.
I was also grateful for the help you gave me during the year, by giving us plenty of time on the computers to work on our coursework, and coming around the class and giving us individual help when we were struggling. Without this professional help I probably would have got a C or a D in my GCE ICT. I was especially thankful when you used different teaching techniques all the time to make theory classes more exciting and they really worked for me, and they helped me to learn more about the theory of ICT. All those extra revision classes you supplied after school also paid off. I believe my overall mark wouldn’t have been as high if you had not provided these valuable classes. This year, I really thought I was going to struggle in the coursework element of the GCE ICT course. But all the support you provided throughout the coursework has been really beneficial, and the extra support classes you provided out of your own time and effort were a huge boost.
My AS level result was a grade “B”, and although it is a good mark, I know I could have done a lot better. I decided to re-sit Module 2 in January and that brought my grade up to an A, which was really helpful.
Thank you,
Emmet McCallion
